Le Petit Journal "Rebellion Of Alsatian-Lorraine Conscripts"

Le Petit Journal was a conservative daily Parisian newspaper founded by Moïse Polydore Millaud; published from 1863 to 1944. It was one of the four major French dailies, and was the world's largest newspaper at one point.

Much of the paper's popularity was attributed to the dynamic, color illustrations featured in the Supplément illustré, a weekly Sunday supplement that was introduced in 1884.

On a recent trip to Paris we selected some of our favorite cover illustrations from original copies of Le Petit Journal found at the world-famous Paris flea market. We have reproduced those images here for your enjoyment.

This edition features an illustration of the rebellion of the Alsatian-Lorraine conscripts.

Images are suitable for framing, or pair with one of our Teakwood Magnetic Poster Framers/Hangers for a modern, yet simple hanging solution.
