White Rock Sparkling Beverages Crate

Because we firmly believe that every home could use a touch of vintage, we offer a carefully-curated collection of vintage and antique goods known as #domaciFLEA. These items may not always be in perfect condition, but they're sure to satisfy your nostalgic yearnings and peak your sentimental curiosities.

Though still in business today, White Rock Beverages may no longer be a household name. But it used to be. And so was the girl in its logo. The Greek goddess Psyche has appeared on millions of bottles and cans [and crates] of White Rock sparkling water, tonic water and ginger ale. And on every one, she is topless, gazing at her own reflection in a crystal-clear pool of water. White Rock was founded in Waukesha, Wis., in 1871, and moved its headquarters to New York City 35 years later. By 1930, the company dominated the U.S. sparkling water business, with a market share of 90 percent, according to Time magazine. "It was a real upper-class type of an item, used at the coronation of Queen Victoria, and Charles Lindbergh christened his plane ... with it, and Gloria Vanderbilt was baptized with it." At its height, White Rock employed hundreds of people, mostly at its factory in Brooklyn.

This vintage wood beverage crate, from White Rock Sparkling Beverages, would make a great storage piece for your home. Use it in the pantry to organize dry goods. Keep it next to the fireplace and store kindling during the colder months. Or place it in the corner of your den to hold throw pillows and blankets. The possibilities are practically endless.
