Vintage The Shelburne Atlantic City (Blue) Swizzle Sticks, S/4

$ 25.00 Sale price

Regular price $ 25.00

Originally built and opened in 1869, the Shelburne Hotel was a resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. During the 1920's the Shelburne gained a reputation as a home to entertainers and celebrities, due to its close proximity to Atlantic City's famed Warner Theater; however the Great Depression lead to a bankruptcy filing in 1931. The hotel would pass through a series of owners until being taken over by the United States Army during World War II,  and then passing into ownership of the Malamut family who revived the hotel's success in the 1950's with several renovations and expansions. The Malamut family closed the resort in 1978. In 1984 the site was acquired by Blumenfeld Development Corp. and the hotel was demolished. The site is now home to Bally's Wild Wild West Casino.

This four piece set of vintage swizzle sticks from the hotel's later glory days would make a great gift for any aficionado of the Jersey Shore or vintage Atlantic City.
