Henry F. Ortlieb Brewing Co. opened in 1945 in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia and operated for 36 years before closing in 1981. A family business from beginning to end, Ortlieb's epitomized the old American brewing tradition, where every city worth its salt had at least one local brewery producing fresh beers. This vintage beer tray, most likely from the 1950's or 60's, is a great reminder of times-gone-by and is perfect for use even today.
