Vintage Leone's Restaurant Swizzle Sticks, S/2

Virtuoso Enrico Caruso talked Louisa Leone into converting her Manhattan house into the 20-seat Leone’s Italian Ristorante in 1906. Customers paid 50 cents per full-course meal and sat on wine crates to sample her homespun Italian cookery, served in bodacious quantities. Leone's consistently resisted the city’s restaurant trends and offered unpretentious food under false grape vines on red-checkerboard tablecloths. Before the eatery became a casualty of New York’s condo craze in 1994, it had expanded to become the largest restaurant in New York City, serving 700,000 meals a year in 11 dining rooms.

This two piece set of vintage swizzle sticks from the iconic restaurant would make a great gift for any enthusiast of vintage New York.
