Milk Glass Bud Vase, Assorted

Style

Because we firmly believe that every home could use a touch of vintage, we offer a carefully-curated collection of vintage and antique goods known as #domaciFLEA. These items may not always be in perfect condition, but they're sure to satisfy your nostalgic yearnings and peak your sentimental curiosities.

Originating in 16th century Venice, what we now call "milk glass" originally came in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. The white variety that is commoosen today gained popularity during the Victorian era, when
it was sought after as a more economical alternative to porcelain. Its production and popularity lessened during the Great Depression but saw a resurgence after World War II.

Milk glass bud vases such as these were often the "go-to" vessel for many florists during the 1950's and 60's.
