"La Morte Darthur" by Sir Thomas Malory (1955)

This beautifully-bound and illustrated edition of Sir Thomas Malory's reworking of the tales of King Arthur and his knights, is illustrated with sometimes risque wood engravings by Robert Gibbings. First published in 1485 by William Caxton, the work is today considered one of the best-known works of Arthurian literature in the English language and is said to be the last important English book written before the introduction of printing to the country.
