KnickerBocker Holiday Miniatures Santa Doll

Founded by Dutch immigrants around 1850 in Albany, New York, KnickerBocker Toys was first known for its educational toys and wooden puzzles. The unusual name 'Knickerbocker' derived from the nickname for the citizens of New York. The name is a reference to the baggy trousers the original Dutch settlers wore. The company began manufacturing stuffed toys sometime around the 1920's. Their "holiday miniatures" stuffed toys were popular Christmas gifts during the 1970's.
