The Rittenhouse condo of former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher has been sold. Realtor Laurie Phillips of BHHS Fox & Roach confirmed to Channel 6 Action News that the deal closed Monday.
Online records show the condo sold for $6,550,000. The 4,166 square foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo located on the 20th floor of 1706 Rittenhouse Square went on the market in April and was listed for $6,900,000. According to the listing, the full-floor residence includes a living room, open formal dining room, family room, large gourmet eat-in kitchen, and large terrace.
The building is equipped with a 24 hour concierge, indoor pool, fitness center, board room, and a resident's garden with a koi pond.
In sports news: The Phillies announced on Tuesday they declined Lee's $27.5 option for 2016 and are paying him a $12.5-million buyout. The 37-year-old Lee is now a free agent. However, if you're looking for a silver-lining - at least Lee had a fabulous place to live during his time in Philadelphia.
