Domaci Sustainable Furniture: Built to Last and Last and Last
•Posted on July 21 2020

"They don't make them like that anymore," someone said somewhere today.
Fortunately, it's not true. And we should know! As proud members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, Domaci is committed to offering products that are constructed from materials that are ecologically renewable resources.
Whether they are recycled cast iron forged from scrap metals, plantation-grown hardwoods that are constantly replanted, or reclaimed woods that are given new life as furniture, you can rest assured that Domaci offers you sustainable choices that are certainly made as if they were from another era.
Built to Last
A Storied Past
Style in Function

Unlike much of today’s furniture, which is constructed primarily of particle board and Medium-density fibreboard (MDF), our solid hardwood furnishings require much less need for potentially-toxic glues. Most of our products also feature hand-applied finishes that have lower VOC chemicals – keeping the air as clean as possible and eliminating the emission of harmful chemicals into your home.
Purchasing heirloom-quality, solid wood furniture – which can stand up to the demands of everyday life and still maintain its beauty – shows a commitment to sustainability on the part of the consumer too. Furniture from Domaci can last a lifetime, resulting in less waste in our area landfills.
