"They don't make them like that anymore," someone said somewhere today.

Fortunately, it's not true. And we should know! As proud members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, Domaci is committed to offering products that are constructed from materials that are ecologically renewable resources.

Whether they are recycled cast iron forged from scrap metals, plantation-grown hardwoods that are constantly replanted, or reclaimed woods that are given new life as furniture, you can rest assured that Domaci offers you sustainable choices that are certainly made as if they were from another era.

Built to Last

Our Elizabeth Bar Cabinet is a piece of furniture you wouldn't want to stub your toe on. Made from sustainably sourced mango wood and iron, this is a piece that will beautifully store all those bar essentials and still have room to spare!

A Storied Past

There's no getting around the uniqueness of our Nash Side Table (featured image). Recovered from telephone pole "cross pieces," cruzeta woods are naturally distressed by years of exposure to the elements, and each is unique. Atop a sturdy blackened-metal base, this side table offers an open compartment and steel-plated drawer for storage.

Style in Function

Each of these Ingrid Area Rugs is made from sustainably sourced yarn and then hand-woven by a skilled artisan. When you lay this rug down, you'll be supporting ethical, eco-friendly production practices and celebrating the age-old craft of artisanal rug making.

Unlike much of today’s furniture, which is constructed primarily of particle board and Medium-density fibreboard (MDF), our solid hardwood furnishings require much less need for potentially-toxic glues. Most of our products also feature hand-applied finishes that have lower VOC chemicals – keeping the air as clean as possible and eliminating the emission of harmful chemicals into your home.

Purchasing heirloom-quality, solid wood furniture – which can stand up to the demands of everyday life and still maintain its beauty – shows a commitment to sustainability on the part of the consumer too. Furniture from Domaci can last a lifetime, resulting in less waste in our area landfills.

They sure still do make them like that anymore!
