Studio Spotlight: Downtown Bethlehem Office Makeover

We love to partner with our fellow downtown Bethlehem merchants whenever we can, so when Jennifer Ceneviva of Edward Jones Investments approached us asking for assistance to update her Broad Street office, we jumped at the chance!

Jennifer had some dated furniture pieces that she wanted to replace while also brightening up the space with fresh paint and new accessories. After meeting with Jennifer, Warren got to work on selecting pieces that would both work for Jennifer and her business needs, while also providing a more contemporary and comfortable space for her and her clients to enjoy and feel at ease. He created a mood board and floor plan for the space that he then reviewed with Jennifer.

Rather than repainting the entire space, Warren and Jennifer agreed that giving one focal wall a new coat of paint in a relaxing aqua blue would provide just the right hue and pop of color to make the space feel brand new. That color, Spa by Sherwin Williams, worked well with the existing tan walls and provided the color inspiration for the accessories, flooring, and artwork used in the space. Because the basic floor plan and furniture arrangement that Jennifer was already using was working so well for her, we agreed that no major changes needed to be made to the space plan.

Choosing the right desk system was extremely important as Jennifer needed both a designated space to work on her computer and a place to confer with clients. Our Trey Desk System proved to be the perfect solution, with the Trey Executive Desk serving as the perfect conference area and the Trey Writing Desk pulling duty as a computer work station. Jennifer's work area was completed with the modular corner desk and filing credenza. Jennifer had purchased two of our best-selling Lara Dining Chairs from us a few years ago, and was already using those for her clients to sit in, so we carefully-curated a complimentary desk chair and accent chair to complete her seating needs for the space.

While Jennifer has plans to update her flooring in the future, ripping up the carpet wasn't an option in this phase of her office update, so we added one of our best-selling vinyl floorcloths to the room for a fun and colorful accent. Our Boho Blue pattern was the perfect choice!

Finally, one of our favorite pieces in the room has to be the hand-painted canvas art that hangs on the back wall of Jennifer's office, becoming a true focal point in the room. Jennifer freely admits that she would have never chosen this piece on her own, but loves the way it completes the room, and was thankful for our design team pushing her slightly outside her comfort level to create an office that she loves to come to work in each day!
